I haven't handled one so I can't comment on the quality of construction. But their patterns look pretty bad to me. This Hercules inspired jacket for instance looks like a leather bag. Totally shapeless.

Same story. There's no sleeve taper for instance and body looks rectangular.

I remember seeing the first jacket here awhile back, I believe this brand might have been discussed. Agreed, the pattern is real bad.

I wonder how much the shapeless boxyness comes from the model pics being brand new 1.5mm horsehide. My TFH is 1.3mm and that thing is insanely rigid and it just kind of hung off me for a while but now that its broken in it adapts more to my shape.

Yeah, be nice to see the jacket on a non-stick figure. Nothing wrong with that mind you, sometimes I would like to be stickish.

I don't think it's due to the model. A buffed guy wearing the same jacket won't change anything to the non- tapered sleeves or square body.

Hercules looks ok the leather togs looks really off. It seems almost they are taking those avantgarde leather jacket patterns *yak* and transferring vintage designs onto them. The folks at S&S though speak highly of them on SF so at least the construction should be good…

The above pics of the jackets do look scary. The fit pics on S&S’ website (and others), of both jackets, don’t look nearly this bad. Some of the pics look like thousands of the fit pics posted here that are raved about.

But for sure, I see what you guys are saying. I’d take a FW or better yet, a LW LT B for the bike. Oh wait, I already did.

Can't go wrong with the Leathertogs B, I am getting one in a different hide soon enough! :D

@Marc mndt , if anybody still had any doubts, your comparison pics eradicated them, thanks :)

Most of the off rack, ready to wear brands have the straight body shape, trying to get as many customer as possible. Which is kinda opposite of what to do when the customer is spending a decent chunk of change. I have other brands that's like this too, straight down torso, and the only way to tighten up at the hem is to use the belt. It's neither functional or a good look. Always check hem measurements against the P2P, any drop is better than no drop.
