well thanks for your kind words chaps! I already felt very comfortable and cool in the jacket but your approval erased the last bit of doubt whether the jacket might be a tick short

Overall a nice jacket.
And I understand your doubts, because I also have a jacket that is 2 cm too short for my taste. And at least for me, the doubts have never settled.
My compromise is that I just wear the jacket open, because the length is very good for that.

To the OP - do you have any photos of how this has broken in?

The leather is already very soft so there is no breaking in phase like with Aero‘s FQHH.
But because of the tanning process, the leather pretty much stays the same. From what I‘ve read that‘s very typical for Lewis‘ cowhide. So you won‘t see much of a difference, especially not after a couple of months. If the jacket started to develop a patina I will put some photos up here.

I’ve always loved the Dominator. I would probably get it in the heavy sheep as that hide shows some great character in online photos. I tried one on once and liked a size up. The Corsair if I remember correctly fit in my usual size but was shorter.

I managed to settle my doubts regarding the length by stopping to compare the jacket with my other leather jackets and rather compare it to a denim jacket. Those a short aswell.
the Corsair is supposed to be short because it‘s an aviator styled jacket. You wouldn‘t want a longer jacket sitting in a cockpit.
If I „need“ extra 2cm length, I just go for my Aero CR. Different lengths, different occasions.
Leaving it open is of course always a good option
