Found a good vintage-y product for straw-like tresses!

I have been using VO5's original conditioning hair dressing on the ends of my hair. The ends of my hair get dry and subjected to a lot of stress (chlorine, styling, etc.) and they end up feeling straw-like and lose their sheen. The conditioning hairdressing seems to work a real treat on the ends!

The one thing is that it must be applied sparingly, I believe 1/16" of the stuff out of the tube, then rubbed between the palms, is all that people (except very long hair) are supposed to apply.

Just wanted to share for any other gals out there with the same dilemma! :)

Thank you !
My hair is bleached and needs a treatment ,so next time i am out & about, will pick some up !!!!!!! It doesnt leave your hair limp or lank does it ?
I tried the Aussie Miracle treatment stuff and my hair was limp and revolting, so NEVER use their stuff, someone told me it's because of the high silicone content .

Apparently the Vitimin B5 in shampoo is not a vitamin, its actually a form of silicone.

It can in some case make it easier for hair to slip out of your hair folicles.

My sister-in-law is trained as a hairdresser and won't use the stuff

Thanks, that's great to know ! Will keep a look out for that in shampoo & conditioners from now on, as it just doesn't agree with my hair at all .

I am fairly sure that vitamin B5 is not a silicone...

An example of a silicone that is in hair care products would be dimethicone.

I am also fairly sure that silicones do not make your hair fall out! Most common shampoos today (aside from the very inexpensive ones like VO5 or Suave and some natural brands, though not all) contain silicones: Pantene, Garnier and L'Oreal to name a few. ;)
