You can use it as a candy dish, or put business cards in it, or dip. My house is also non-smoking. I still buy cute ashtrays if they're cheap!

I do smoke in my house, but I also have 3 ashtrays in my room that aren't for smoking. One is a large 50s boomerang tray that I use for change, keys and other odds and ends. the other 2 are also 50s and I use one for jewelry and the other for hair pins. They make great decorative containers.
