Selling this superb WW2 era Air Associates/HLB Corp Civilian Flight Instructor thin goatskin A-2 jacket in a tagged size 44 but fits more like a 40-42.....SEE MEASUREMENTS. John Chapman at Good Wear told me that this jacket was probably made for Air Associates by HLB Corp. You can look through numerous stateside WW2 flight class “year books” and see the instructor wearing these PX purchased A-2’s. Frankly, the cut of this jacket is better than just about any Govt Issue contract A-2. its very smarty looking, a hair longer and has a great stand up collar. Super patina on this one, yes some paint flecks and a few patched up very small holes. No patch stitch holes. I think the zipper is original or original repair to the jacket. Might have been partially removed for lining replacement. Lining and knits redone by flight jackets.com This is one heck of a jacket and I enjoyed wearing it. $150 shipped US sale ONLY. Ask questions, first person PM’ing saying “i’ll take it” gets it. Paypal only, I am a drama free seller. Again…US sale only. All hardware works. This is a warts and all jacket. No alterations, hot water, etc. Note HLB/Navy rear collar stitching. No throat clasp or armpit vents by design . Despite flaws and sturdy wearer and super cool patina dark seal goatskin.
