Anybody interested in this nice vintage lid for summer? I just received it, but it's way, way too small for my big melon. It's marked 7 3-8 but it fits like a 7 1-4. The lid has a 22.5 circumference. Some minor issues:
1. Brim is a bit wavey - but it just needs is to be wetted down, blown with a hair dryer and pressed flat... or steamed. The hat is very flexible.
2. Pleated ribbon is a bit smooshed... I'm sure it can be flattened out. I was going to replace it with a black ribbon.
3. Minor non-displaced split at right rear of crown near the top. Not noticeable. About half an inch.
I'm asking what I paid... $45... I will pay shipping! Such a deal!
