After a month of waiting, it will be here Friday. The more I have thought about it, the more I have realized it doesn't fit into my lifestyle. I don't have a motorcycle and my typical dress doesn't support the look. I truly was just in awe over the craftsmanship so I ordered it. I couldn't stop myself. I am listing it here, in the forum, for $275. If you are interested, this will be a chance to own this wallet with no waiting. It is 100% vegetable-tanned cowhide, worked with waxes and tooling to bring it to a nice vintage look. A work of art, really. DSC04031.jpg DSC04032.jpg DSC04034.jpg DSC04036.jpg Unknown.jpg

PM me if interested.

Cheers,
Jason

Okay, it is time for a price drop.
First let me explain where my original price came from. This wallet ended up costing me exactly $263. With the exchange rate, credit card company foreign currency fee, shipping, and charge for the wallet, this was the final price. It took almost 1 month to arrive (it will be here on Monday due to customs delay).

Here is the original reply from Theodoros regarding pricing:
The retail price of 051 purse is 265 euros and I can offer you the final price of 210 euros plus 15 euros transport costs in the US
> I need about two weeks for shipping after payment of paypal invoice.

I was hoping not to lose any money for a wallet that is new, I haven't even touched it yet. So, in order to get my $263 back and pay Paypal fees and shipping I ended up with the $275. After a few days with little action on here I realized something...people don't want to pay MORE than full retail price (yes, I should have known that already). But, I thought the "no waiting" may be worth a premium for convenience.

Enough silliness. Today's exchange rate is 225 euros = approximately $240. So, with free shipping to the continuous USA I am offering a new price of $240. This gets you the wallet at exactly what you would pay for it new, but with NO waiting. And it is new. If I shipped it out on Tuesday next week you'd probably have it by the weekend. What say you?

PM me with interests...

Isn't it funny how Thurston has dropped the Thedi line? Wallets too big for me and I don't ride... I do feel your pain however.

Is that official? They are still selling them on their eBay store, I don't think they ever added them to the regular website.

I think it looks awesome. It is rather large, but I have a Langlitz trucker that is actually larger! I use it as an overnight bag, or sometimes I just tie it to the side of my motorbike like a side car and do my grocery shopping with it.
Seriously though, it's a lovely wallet, and Theo obviously puts a lot of effort and energy into his creations.

Agreed with Bunyip above. I've owned bigger wallets from JP makers. Crazy large?? Just ask my family lol

Definitely a subculture of denim/leather craft geeks who'd endorse this wallet

If you wear your shirt untucked, the shirt should cover most of the wallet if you're concerned about it being visible. Great wallet.

Great news! Theodoros reached out to me in a heartfelt email. He reads here in TFL and saw my posts regarding this wallet. He explained that he wished I had reached out to him first if I wasn't happy. And he's right, I should have. The thing is, he did nothing wrong. This is why I didn't contact him. I chose the wallet after all.

He has offered me a generous exchange because he wants me to be completely satisfied. He really is a gentleman as well as an artist.

To anyone considering buying direct from him, I would highly recommend him. Wait times are in line with artisan-level work, but the finished products and (more importantly) the owner are first-class. Thank you Theodoros and Thedi Leathers for striving to be an upstanding business.

Great result! Make sure you post the new item with a review when you get it. He does great work, and I'm very interested in seeing what you come up with.
