Thinning my collection and this one is kind of amazing. The felt is soft like vintage Borsalino hats can only be. It's in immaculate condition throughout, except for a small scuff in the sweatband and some light stains in the liner. This hat is the quintessential travel fedora that, back in the day, was meant to be rolled and stored in your jacket pocket. It has the corrugated cardboard feature in the front of the sweat, an indication of its age (mid-late 50s if I'm not mistaken). The sweatband is in great shape, all the stitching appears solid. Size 5 Punti, which is a 71/8. Because the felt is thin, it's on the large side of the size, could perhaps fit a small 71/4. 21/2 inch brim and about 4 3/4 inch crown with current center dent crease. The color is this beautiful shade of light green-gray that is called "Ontano" in Italian, which translates to Alder. The studio shots (my photos) show it very accurately. A rare bird this one that can't be matched in terms of finishing and felt quality today. I'm asking $350 (lowered to $225) Shipped in the USA via USPS. Send a PM if interested, will entertain serious offers.
