Up for auction is an incredibly RARE hat. This is a piece of history. This hat is a circa 1940 STETSON in a very rare oxblood/cranberry color which was sold at ROY ROGERS Ranger Post in Studio City California. Roy Rogers owned and operated this store for only a few years, and its a great possibility that this hat might have been sold by Roy Rogers himself. From my research, the store only existed from about 1940 to about 1943.
