Curious if you have any advice on how to care for the jacket, i.e. how to clean it or if there is anything particular I need to do to the leather or wool to care for it?

I think I may have "saddle-soaped" the jacket once a very long time ago. I never did anything else to it. Last year I got a horsehide jacket from e-bay and ordered some Pecards leather dressing from their website (Google it). That stuff was excellent! Made the "distressed" markings go away, but only for a short time.
Other than that, I don't know of anything specific. Check around here on FL for other suggestions. There are many recommendations here.
