another pair of Trickers for me.
I tried on a pair of Attractions and they were really nice. Unfortunately, the instep was much too deep for me so I had to return them. Leather was beautiful though, nice Maryam horsebutt from Italy.Breaking in my Attractions

Gold-plated buckle Lot 444s from East West Apparel.Brass buckles is special order only. Too bad they don't fit.
Interesting. I think my special order Lot 268 just has plain brass buckles. Different leather they were using back then though. Perhaps I should get a pair of these gold plated 444.Gold-plated buckle Lot 444s from East West Apparel.
According to the East West site they were a store exclusive and are currently out of stock. Unclear if they will be restocked.Interesting. Yeah, I have a low instep. Even with the strap cranked down I could tell it would be too big, even if I punched more holes in it. Engineers always are trouble for me, with a wide forefoot and a narrow ankle the lasts almost never work for me.Can you elaborate on too deep?
Like too much space incthe instep?
Same problem here. For some reason I find western roper boots do work for me.Yeah, I have a low instep. Never tried them because I assumed the lack of instep strap would make heel slip even worse. Perhaps roper lasts have a more secure fit.Same problem here. For some reason I find western roper boots do work for me.

They were very stiff new and I don't know how they are once broken in. I had some other boots in horsebutt which took some time to conform but retained a certain rigidity. Are these actually pliable?

I was looking at these with gold buckles. What size are you?I really like the dressier look of these so I ordered a pair for myself today. Mine have nickel colored hardware though, the gold plated ones were sold out in my size.
