Sometimes it's good to try something new. Cowboy boots are new to me.

These RRL roughout boots were made in Texas by Rios of Mercedes. The vegetable tanned roughout leather is said to be sourced from Ralph Lauren's cattle ranch in Colorado. I don't know whether that's true or not -it sounds like something the marketing department made up - but the roughout sure is nice. It features two inch Cuban heels and bark-tanned leather outsoles.

I got a bit carried away with the western theme when I bought this studded belt and hand painted native American vest.

Matching these items into one outfit is a bit too much imo, unless you live in Texas and you commute to work by horse lol.

These are outfits I could wear without feeling self-conscious. Actually, I think they look really cool. I'm very happy with my new look :D

Super cool! I especially like when you pair them with your leather shirt.
Agree all the items together looks a bit too costumey.

@torfjord you need to show us your new pair!

I thought it would be fun to have a miniature of my cowboy boots as a keychain. It sure is cool but unfortunately it's way too big to be practical.

I will share as soon as they arrive. Should be sometime next week. Cowboy boots the latest TFL craze? Like when everyone bought blue jackets.

Cowboy boots are great but so are slim fitting jeans and they ain't compatible.
Never considered this because I've never worn anything slimmer than a Wrangler 936 and they have an 8" leg opening. I must be bored because I just measured 5 pairs of my boot tops and they all come in around 7", give or take a 1/2" and this is measuring both OTR and MTM boots. I didn't measure any tall tops. Anything slim enough to show the outline of the boot top would be too slim. Lululemon pants probably won't work.
