Onderhoud's owner, Rizky, replied to my direct message and that's how my order process started. It took 6 months for that reply to happen so don't get your hopes up, just message him from time to time and hope he gets back to you really.

I think you will have better luck with Motor out of Japan. They will have a dress engineer boot drop later in the month, it's only $100 more than the onderhouds

thanks for the heads up. I got impatient waiting for onderhoud so I ordered up a pair of mr lous in natural cxl from Wesco. Called yesterday (Wednesday), order made and paid right then, shipped that afternoon and should be on my doorstep Monday. I’ll keep reaching out To onderhound and see what happens. In the mean time I’ll try to darken up the natural cxl over the summer.

Here's my number one pair of boots in my collection: White Kloud Blucher boots in cognac Badalassi Minerva leather:

While I adore my Clinch engineers, nothing can equal my White Kloud boots in my collection. These are not only my favorite boots, they are my favorite physical possession period. As much as I love engineer boots, I would wear these for the rest of my life over any pair of engineers. I loved them when I wrote my initial review of them, and loved them even more when I wrote my two year review on them. White Kloud is unquestionably the best casual-style bootmaker on the planet and these boots are proof of that.

The leather is the incredibly gorgeous Badalassi Carlo minerva leather in cognac which is aging to perfection. It is clicked masterfully by Show Goto, stitched perfectly, hand welted perfectly, hand outsole stitched perfectly, and finished perfectly. One cannot overestimate the beauty of the finishing on White Kloud boots. What is more is that these boots have stood up well so far to all the wear I have put them through and have become easily the most comfortable boots that I own. Everything about these boots is the best available, with Goto-San going as far as to make his own thread for hand welting from scratch by himself. When people say they don’t cut corners, they are all lying compared to this guy.

Goto-San is also one of the nicest and kindest people that I have ever met. The entire experience of going to his shop and getting measured, hanging out with him again the second time in Japan, and hosting him here in the United States makes these boots even more special to me. They would be the best boots in the world even if Goto-San were a jerk, but he’s a friend so that makes these even more special to me. The only way they could possibly lose their number 1 spot is if they get knocked off by the new Ogawa shell cordovan White Klouds that I have coming in soon. However, this was my first pair from him so my guess is that these will always be my favorite boots.

I am also including a picture of my brother's pair of White Kloud boots in black Badalassi cowhide which are just as perfect as my boots are, just less broken in.

Super cool piece and write up. I can only imagine how good that must be. You and your bro's boot look killer. Tuning in to see the transformation and patina build up on these.

This would look so good together with that jacket you posted. Teacore is so nice after years of good wear.

Thanks! They've already developed quite a lot which is great. Cognac Badalassi is fantastic for this.

They do look the part even more now than when new.
How do you see the cognac Badalassi the Indonesian bootmakers use compared to the White Klouds? Are there different grades too like the shinki?
I know that Badalassi can vary a lot in quality. Greg had to stop carrying Badalassi because of that. I have not actually had any Indonesian examples. I can't comment on their quality, but I can say that White Kloud's is impeccable. His clicking is the best I have ever seen/experienced and he is very picky about his leather.

Thank you Jake,
They are also quite comfortable to wear (not as much as my Role Club, though), I feel like a super hero with them on my feet
