Came across these on Grailed. I’m unsure how I feel about them, but none the less thought they were really, really interesting. A combination monkey boot-skate sneaker from The Flat Head Just never saw them. According to the seller it’s Cordovan with deerskin leather and sheep liner.

Maybe it's just me but I always thought some of the minimalist sneakers like Common projects or whatever looked like monkey boots trimmed down to a shoe and put on a sneaker sole. Perhaps monkey shoes on a soft sole would be a good alternative to sneakers for those that don't like the disposable nature of them. I think Tricker's did some years ago, they looked pretty nice. Their boot version is probably my favorite monkey boot too.

Actually, that is what old sneakers and trainers look like. Take look at Clinch Mast Trainer and these.

Got it, I'm sure about the premium part lol how long is the lead time for production normally? I hope they make a batch for standard and strange soon
Not sure about the trainers but engineer boots may take up to a year. I think it would be faster if done thru a dealer.

^^ it's not so bad considering how in demand they are. my local stockist gets boots from them every now and then but they sell very quickly.

Looks great, I really like it. Do you just go with your brannock size?

I was at the main store and tried their sample. Their sizing is a bit different I was supposedly 11CN which stands for classic narrow. But I am EU size 43 or 44 depending on the last

That's what's preventing me from ordering too, I'd be hard pressed if I waited for a year and ordered the wrong size. I'll probably just wait til the pandemic is over and visit Tokyo to get fitted too

If you can wait, that is for the best. Otherwise you could always send them your foot tracing?

Just to be clear, they don't make a custom fit, they choose the size that best suits you
