That is just a phenomenal russet colored leather there. Nice.
Know what you mean about shoe/boot fitting, I’ve a feeling that the Alden Modified would work for me, but I can’t risk an order without an in person fitting, and NYC is a long way from home. What jacket is that, Mr Freedom?Just received these Julian Bowery’s in whiskey shell. These are my first made to measure boots, and the fit is superb. I’m always struggling to find footwear that matches my long, narrow feet that also fail to fit into pointed toe profiles, so I’m beyond happy that taking a risk on such an expensive purchase worked out. This ?https://www.brogueshop.com/collecti...ucts/alden-x-brogue-5zp-army-boot-black-shellAnyone have suggestions on a service boot made out of black horween shell? The only one I can find that ticks (almost) all the boxes is Viberg.
Cheers, love the look of that.It is a Mr. Freedom!
Looks like Ayeteael has/had something pretty close to what you’re looking at.Anyone have experience with badhat brothers boots out of Korea? Thinking of doing some black wedge sole Monkey boots.
Looks fantastic! I may have to try this some day, truly a tea core look. How much room would you say you got from the celastic toe removal surgery? My wesco’s get a little cramped in the toe box, even after removing the leather insert.Hello all, first post, been lurking a couple years. Here's my Wesco Mister Lou in brown cxl which I overdyed black back in December after having a change of heart about the colour. You can see some of the brown starting to peek through. I just used Fiebeings black leather dye and went over it with some Collonil black liquid polish after for a shine. I also had the celastic toe structure removed by Dimar Shoe Repair in Toronto for a bit more room for my toes up front.
Thank you. I dont have the insert in either. I'd say it gave me some room to play with, especially after stretching it out. I had some trouble with the shape of the toe, but didn't want to wait for custom Boss wait times from Wesco. I also like the other features of the stock Mister Lou, like the heel cup and narrower shaft.Looks fantastic! I may have to try this some day, truly a tea core look. Ya, the svelte profile of the Mr. Lou can’t be beat, looks wise, imo. Finding the right fit is tough, though and the axe breaker’s I’m waiting on were ordered half a size up in hopes of a solution.Thank you. I dont have the insert in either.
