So, yes, it is an embarrassingly expensive jacket, but at least I got it used so it was only one kidney rather than two.. And it is returnable if I decide the fit is not right. But I have to admit, I love this jacket. Just unpacked it today and tried it on, and here are the pics. Feedback welcome.

Initial impressions: the leather is HH and absolutely beautiful, though not quite as thick as I normally like. Sleeves could definitely be an inch longer, especially for riding, but off the motorcycle they'll be fine. I like the fit otherwise, with just enough room for a long sleeved shirt underneath.

Looks phenomenal Lina, reminds me of the fit of the Aero J-106's I had. For me the fit is ideal albeit longer than historically accurate. I love it and it looks absolutely perfect on you.

Great jacket.............I'm seeing this as possibly one size too big. The length , waist and sleeves are fine. But it might be a little roomy in the chest and shoulders. And you already have a shirt and a t-shirt underneath.

Appreciate all the feedback. As some of you know, I've been trying out various jackets for a while trying to get just the right one, something I can ride with but also just wear around. And I am picky about fit. This one may be my keeper though. I do think, as a couple of comments say, that probably the chest and shoulders are slightly bigger than a lot guys would want, but honestly I really need a bit of extra room or I feel claustrophobic. And this will be one of my main winter jackets so I'll be wearing a flannel shirt under often as not.

Slight downsides: I do wish the leather was a bit thicker. And the pockets are quite small. The latter is really knit-picking of course, and won't stop me.

Two things I really like: One is the way it hangs unzipped, which is often an issue for diagonal zippers. Two, the plaid wool lining! I've been searching for just the rigth lining for me, and while Aero's (Lochharron's) tartans are very cool, I've always like a more straightforward, old fashioned plaid. Like this!

The fit is perfect all around but what Super says, the shoulders do seem a bit broad. It's just that I am used to seeing these Buco jackets very fitted so I noticed it right away and it's not a problem really, the jacket seems great everywhere else; sleeves, waist, etc. But it's very good. That's actually how most riders wear this style as more room in the shoulders allow for more reach on a bike. This is exactly how my Langlitz fits and it just makes so much difference on a bike. Though, I really, really don't think you would need the sleeves to be any longer. I'd keep it, honestly. 10/10

Aero does offer this lining, though. I had the most simple version, red and black checkered lining but they even had a few variations of those.

Sure looks like one to keep. Probably wound not have trouble finding a new home if you wanted. You will come to like the "lighter" leather. It does hang well unzipped. The lining is sweet!

That jacket is phenomenal, I wish I could fit in it, but the shoulder to chest ratio does not work with my body... clearly not a problem for you here. I would keep it :)

I'm going to nitpick and say that Aero does not offer this lining exactly. This is one of Flat Head's exclusive flannel linings. Along with Iron Heart, they make arguably the best flannel fabric in the world.
Aero offers wool flannel linings and this is cotton. This lining is actually quite thick (12oz) and is pretty unique among leather jacket linings. I love the lining on my Himel, but the Flat Head lining is the most sturdy lining I've seen.

Sorry if I sound like a jerk, I'm just a big fan of Flat Head's products, even if I can't buy their jackets because they don't fit me :D
I was just using your post as an opportunity to talk about how cool this lining is on this jacket. I tried it on and wanted it to fit me so bad.

I actually think the shoulders look pretty OK on the OP. A little big, but it looks better than most people do in FH jackets.
