The Fedora Lounge has always stood on the strength of the contributions of its members, without whom, there would be no content, no Fedora Lounge. We have become an invaluable resource for information about all things Golden Era.
Some of these members have made tremendous additions to the Lounge, either by the sharing of knowledge, access to their extensive collections, their dedication to planning events, their contribution and service to our community, their additions to the unique atmosphere that makes The Fedora Lounge a great place to be, and their efforts to keep things running smoothly. Their contribution has been remarkable, unstinting, and well beyond the norm.
We have cast around for many months to think of a way to say “Thank You.” Though we would like to be able to assemble a gift package with a gold watch, a fine hat, a day at a Hollywood makeup seminar, and a case of scotch, we decided to add a new user designation category:
Distinguished Service Award
This designation will appear under a member’s user name. Recipients will be chosen by MK and the Bartenders. It will not be awarded lightly, or without a great deal of thought, and most importantly, without our deep, lasting gratitude to those who are chosen to receive the designation.
We'll be announcing the first to receive this new designation in the coming weeks.
