Hey All,

I washed the liner from an Akubra in Woolite, it came out nice and clean, and didn't affect the crest at all. After it dried I carefully ironed it, without melting the plastic liner, and it looks great. The only problem I have is the liner now has no stiffness at all and if the hat is left standing upright the liner droops and I have to push it back into the crown every time I put it back on. Does anyone use any type of stiffener on their liners, hair spray or starch maybe?

Brian, I'd go with spray starch like you use for cotton shirts. Hair spray will get tacky in humid situations. I'd spray starch the sides of the liner to give it body to hold the center up...
