Fivestar Horween latigo natural half belt jacket

Received this jacket few weeks ago, the only problem is the sleeves feel too tight only when you raise your arm, otherwise it is a great jacket, the price reflects that.

The leather is 1.75-1.85mm = 4.25 -4.5 oz but jacket is not heavy, only 6 lbs.

Nice looking jacket. Hopefully I’m not asking too much but would you be kind enough to post a couple of fit pics. Also may I ask your suit size, chest size, height and weight, etc. also, it looks like there’s some moisture under the back collar or is that just a reflection?

no problem. 42, 43.5 chest, 6ft, 175-180lbs.
yes, it is water. The leather is not as water repellent as chromexcel.

After the success of the 6oz jacket, I decided to let this one go and have Shawn build one with the same spec from the 6oz jacket.
One of kind hide, it softens a lot even though it is only 3 months old, the movement of the jacket has improved a lot.
The price is $320 shipped, PayPal family/friends or Venmo, no return.

These jackets look great, in pics and also when you wear them. I don't know why you'd sell. A couple questions:

1.) How much leather is required to make a jacket this size? 30 square feet?
2.) Ballpark, what would Shawn charge?
3.) Where would you get it? I'm not crazy about 5Star's leather offerings and wondered about finding some Horween to mail to him.

Hh, I see where you posted the measurements, the weight of the jacket and hide and that you supplied the leather.
Can you share which Tannery you brought the hide form and any other useful information like horse or steer veg of chrome-tanned.
I know the jacket will fit me
