Thank you! I've been having a hard time finding a World War II peacoat that fits me well. This is the largest size I've found, but most of them seem a bit too small. Maybe people were smaller back then? If I can’t find one that fits, I’m seriously considering the Real McCoys 1913 peacoat, which feels a bit crazy. I usually don’t think about buying anything other than a leather jacket from those high-end brands, but I really love the World War One peacoat design; it’s my favorite and quite hard to find.
I appreciate your opinion because that coat has always felt a bit awkward to wear. I can barely fit an L.L. Bean sweater underneath it, let alone a chunky wool sweater.
It is indeed difficult to find wartime peacoats in a larger size - i manged to get one in 46 which is pretty snug on me (1.90 / 100 kg) even though it is a larger size but as long as there is no other option i will definately keep ...
