What do you guys think? fit and leather and color?

Arrived about 1 week ago, size 44 in Vicenza Cordovan. I am wearing a patagonia air nano underneath. Still feels a little tight around the armpits and biceps area, otherwise it feels pretty "slim fit" but not in a bad way. Neck area feels good so far.

I had a size 42 Maxwell in CXL HH and felt a too tight in the armpits too. The new 44 only measured about 1 inches bigger (laying flat). Honestly, I think it is the softer leather choice that is the most noticeable difference. The CXLHH was heavier, and felt alot thicker and stiffer.
The Vic was softer but kind of looked and felt " like cheap plastic". A little too grainy for my preference also

It looks good. Wear a jacket more often and it will become more comfortable in the chest area

None of those pics look like the jackets are comfortable. Could be your layer is too thick.I much prefer the lighter weight vicenza.i dislike any jacket in cxl.too heavy, stiff and the colour loss made me move the 4 jackets i bought new on very quickly. Held on to a seal jerky A2 and a very soft midweight H/H half belt .lovely stuff.

None of the Aero patterns will feel good in the poses you’re striking unless oversized. Assuming you don’t plan of flexing on the street it looks OK. That said, if someone is asking the collective how their jacket fits They have a nagging suspicion that they don’t like the way it fits. In my experience that never goes away.

I agree with @Bfd70 … if you have to ask then something is off.

I must’ve went through half a dozen jackets (which isn’t many around here) before I found a decent fit. I’d say most of that had little to do with the size of the jacket, but rather the pattern itself.

Also, Finding one leather jacket that looks great with and without substantial layers is jacket nirvana …. I’m not sure it exists.

The angle of the pics and the lighting are unflattering. I'm willing to bet if you wear it more it'll drape and mold to your body.

Just my 2 cents.

The photos looks like they are taken with the camera too low and too close. Pointing the camera at stomach up never does any one any good (unless you've got washboard abs), I've made this mistake myself. If you just move the camera further back (about 5 feet+ away from you) and higher (at your neck height, not stomach height) then the photos will tell a totally different story.

FWIW, I do have the Maxwell jacket and I know this Vicenza one you got now fits better than your old one. And Aero's 1930s half belt pattern (aka the Maxwell) will fit more people more comfortably than their 1950s half belt pattern imo. The Vicenza is what the Vicenza is. They do get quite grainy showing the fat lines with some wear, but brand new they're mostly just pebbles.
