I emailed Peter a few days ago. Here's his reply:

"MY KNITTERS WHO WERE UKRAINE GIRLS ARE NO LONGER WITH ME
THANKS TO PUTIN.
THEY HAVE ALL GONE HOME SO NO LONGER IN THE SWEATER BUSINESS SORRY PETER"
Oh dear. That’s sad news. He is a nice chap and they are great sweaters; I have two of them.

They have 'Black Welsh' - a name that conjures up images of Shirley Bassey and Cardiff's Tiger Bay district. It looks dark brown, much darker than my 'Peat Brown' Woolly Pully. Their 'Charcoal' looks darker than Charcoal wool sweaters I have had from Barbour.
I’m pretty sure the name of the color comes from the sheep that are the source of the wool. It is a natural color. I have quite possibly the best shawl cardigan in existence, made by Black Sheep Knitwear. And it comes in that Black Welsh color.

I agree. My comment was tongue-in-cheek and I apologise if I offended you.
