And thanks to Aliados, I have a Whippet that is the near twin of your grey one, though the brim is 2 1/2".
It's one great looking hat and fits like it was custom made.
It has become one of my favorite hats as I'm sure yours will be.

2 1/2 inch brim

4 5/8 inch crown
looks to be of same vintage, price tag of $10. still attached. Will try
