First off a HUGE thank you to all of you who recommended that I not dye my vintage Irvin Foster leather jacket and instead just condition it using Pecard's Antique Leather dressing. Not only did it make the leather feel more supple and rejuvinated but it made all the "distressed" markings and patina on the jacket arms, sleeve cuffs, and shoulder seam area less vivid. Also the jacket does feel a bit looser to wear now that the leather is more supple.

The folks at Pecard were a HUGE help to me in answering all the questions I had and I have absolutely no regrets using this product. I applied the first coat to the entire jacket, waited 24 hours, buffed then put another coat to the entire jacket, waited another 24 hours and buffed... jacket feels reborn. I will definitely have to use this product on my BMW's leather seat surfaces.

Pictures are below, including a photoshoot with my kids and car taken yesterday evening... it was too beautiful of a day not to go to the park.

Pecard included the pictured product sample of the shoe oil along with their Antique Leather Dressing

My infant daughter's outfit is definitely appropriate with the words, "Custom Built" with a car on it, haha!

Wow Navin, that turned out nice!

Thanks Steve! Thanks again for your excellent advice for having me try this product instead of dyeing the jacket and losing the vintage patina and all. :)
