Four inches of powder fell overnight, here at sea level.

The Jeep is broomed off and is warming up. The Prius isn't going anywhere.

We got our first down here in the valley bottom three days ago, only a few centimeters. Tuesday nite low is forecast to be -23c, with more snow in between six weeks early for this kind of weather.

We haven't had any snowfall here yet. I'm hoping it'll hold off until Thanksgiving at least...

It started on Monday in the eastern part of the country and and Tuesday here. We've got at least 20 inches/50 cm of snow. Even the snow erh..sweepers/clearers need to be pulled free. Got all my boys in school all days so far.. Hub's got to work and back as usual so not that bad on the main road it's only coming in to or out of our rural area that can pose a problem.

We got another four or five inches last Thursday (Thanksgiving Day). Then the weather warmed up Friday and the accumulation from our two storms began to melt. The snow is gone now. :) I went to the office yesterday, 100 miles south of here in Seattle. My coworker (cow-orker? :p ) said they didn't get much snow down there Thursday. We tend to be a little more snowy up this way. It's even snowier here than in Bellingham, 20 miles down the road. No snow in the 10-day forecast until the 9th, but looking at the temperatures I wouldn't be surprised if we got some white stuff.

I hope it doesn't snow. I'm getting a roommate next week, and she has a 500-mile drive to get here.

I moved up from L.A. seven years ago, and last week was the earliest we've had snow. It's going to be a cold Winter.

I'm too much of a gentleman to comment.:D

Sorry, couldn't resist!

:D:D

Well, its 17" now ... Luckily, we are surrounded by farmers, who are cleaning the roads with tractor and plough, but still not able to actually drive anywhere with our car.

At least it isn't -11 C anylonger :eusa_clap, the AGA oil was becoming too thick, and it is our main heat source

the first "real" snow of the year is falling in Rochester, it's only a couple of inches deep, but that's impressive considering it was pouring rain for hours before it switched to snow.

Its heading into summer down here. Hot and humid with the chance of storms today. Our 10 year drought shows signs of ending so we are thankful for the rain.

I'm not sure how much hardship snowfall creates, but I have been fortunate enough to experience a white Christmas once, and will cherish it always.

BTW, lid looks sharp.

By contrast, our average high temperature (in July and August) is 73ºF/23ºC and the average annual rainfall is 34.84 inches (885 mm).

I love the Pacific Northwest!

Wow, for some reason Toronto (Ontario, Canada) just seems to keep missing the worst of it - perhaps its all the hot air here? lol My condolences go out to you that are almost buried under the stuff...I keep hearing about the cold and snow over the pond, and worry about you folks!

@/|\ - Hey, another Prius owner! Been trying to solve a mystery...what the heck do you call multiple Prius cars?? I myself prefer Prii (as opposed to Priuses - kind of like the goose/geese idea)... lol (off topic, sorry)

Well...it snowed in eastern North Carolina last night. For a while, just before midnight, it was sticking. Probably got a half inch before it swiched to rain and disappeared. It may be the earliest measurable snow fall that I can recall here.
