Great looking jacket, if only LC had a better reputation of actually delivering what was paid for or at the very least used a deposit system to reserve a spot like John at Good Wear, rather than the all to common story of jacket paid for in full and people not hearing anything for 2 years...
Thanks for the compliments everyone. After wearing it for a few days the inside of my arms are actually a bit sore. I knew it was going to be stiff but I was not expecting to be tenderized by my own jacket. No matter. I think it will become quite pliable after some wear and generally break in nicely.
The zipper on my new jacket ripped. It is boxed up and will be going back to Vanson for repairs soon. I know its not a huge break but it is broken. I'm a bit disappointed but I should have it back in a few weeks. At least it's not winter.
That's strange. Vanson's zips are usually pretty robust, but it does appear that they may have used a more vintage style on this model. Hopefully a repair can eliminate any further problem.
Yes you're right HD, it's a reproduction of the Surrogates jacket and they put a different zipper (I'm sure Dan specifically asked it), I had the same problem with my TN surrogates I wanted the same thing we saw in the movie since Tony done the stuntmen jackets, and he put a zipper to look like the one on the Californian. It broke after a year.
I'm glad BK put a sturdier zipper on their Californian
