First Edition Levi Jacket 1936?

I found a first edition Levi Denim Jacket recently that I'm curious about. First a few pics:

P1040685 copy.jpg

P1040687 copy.jpg

P1040696 copy.jpg

P1040698 copy.jpg

P1040778 copy.jpg

P1040792 copy.jpg

P1040794 copy.jpg

So the Jacket, while it has all the characteristics of a first edition, single left breast pocket, single stitching along the bottom edge, it has a red tag that perhaps is pre big E, as it has nothing but a red tag with an R encircled. Because of that, I estimate that it's a 1936, as that is when Levi started the red tag.

And its a 705XX rather than a 506XX.

I sure would appreciate any clarification.

Oh, and I have more pics, but I can't seem to load them. Is there a maximum size allowed?

Made in Mexico.....90's repro Type 1????

possibly more recent.

The .com would place it probably later than the nineties , probably the 'naughties'

Hmmm, yes. I'm already getting more than I wanted, as I wanted it to be valuable, but you're all right. The .com and made in Mexico did set me to wondering. I had certainly hoped it would be real, but doubts made me ask. Probably worth about 20 to 30 bucks, instead of 1000 plus.

Anyone know about the 705XX rather than a 506XX?

Thank you all for your valuable help.

Tumble dry bit raised a few doubts in my mind, shame it's not an oldie.

No expert but... It was "probably" made April 2007.. a look at the numbers on the tag the ' 0407' indicates month and year made.

If it fits you and you didn't pay a lot for it, I would say, wear it! It is a pretty cool looking jacket.

I didn't pay very much for it, but it doesn't fit. Too small. But it is a cool looking jacket, and I bought it because I know what first generation Levi Jackets look like, but missed the .com and Mexico in my initial excitement over possibly finding such a gem.

LOL, .com companies weren't even science fiction in Mexico during the 1930s, but what about alien time transport.

If it was from 1936 it would smaller size because well..it Just would be, otherwise the thing would be hanging by a thread by now, the size would have me fooled too for a minute but the tag and hardware and overall *Look* of age, cleanliness gives it away.
