This was sold for $50 off Facebook Marketplace! I know because I was trying to nab it, but it looks like someone more local to the seller was ahead of me.

Very nice jacket - has some similarities to Seattle Woolen. Not quite sure it goes back to the 1930s, more likely early 1940. Could be wrong

Looks to have a pot metal stop box used during the war. some had a #3 stamped for 1943. These unstamped could be the same time. Height of war time shortages.

I have seen the Strongbuilt label. but can't say the maker.

I suspect these may have been made by Block. I have also seen “United Bilt” that kind of look Blockish.

Another yes on Block. They did a lot of jackets in Goatskin, also made jackets for retail/store labels. Block was advertised nation wide.

They made jackets with a flair. Note the recent Block worn by @Marc mndt They worked in all materials. They probably made jackets for Levi Strauss. That is my hunch. I was also told Levi did use other suppliers for some of their leather jackets. Levi was pretty busy making other things.

$1625 with spirited bidding! No, I was not at that end of the bidding. Anyone here? It is a beauty.

I opted out. I was discussing with the seller the first time round, when it sold for $1800 BIN and the buyer backed out. That was before he put oil on the minor marks and caused a stain on the lower back of the jacket. It looked a lot better without that. Coupled with concerns about the sizing I decided not to bid. But I do love the jacket.
