I wonder why the tag doesn't say Excelled? It looks like they got the paper tags and put it on a no-name leather jacket and are calling it a deadstock Excelled. That said, it hardly looks dead stock with the creasing and stains in the lining.

My first leather jacket was an Excelled crosszip, bought at a headshop on Wisconsin Ave in DC probably 1985!

I noted that too! My "44" Model E was similar - 23" Pit to Pit is closer to a 42.

Offer received for $249. Id buy it but it’s an earlier E and I’ve owned enough of those. And this hide is killer but definitely a thinner CW. I prefer other versions of the hide. These are shorter than more recent offerings too.
