amazing jacket, looks like mid late 30s. I've never seen a Schott this age for sale. There are several in the Schott book that are as amazing, but where are they?
Private collections.

The one I posted is currently in the possession of a Taiwanese collector. He is planning another exhibition in Taipei and he usually posts some of the rare gems as a preview. He also posted a Buco J1. Not JH1, not J21 but a J1.amazing jacket, looks like mid late 30s. I've never seen a Schott this age for sale. Yes. That is the one. I am not sure if he owns all the jackets at his exhibition but it seems he has a pretty nice condition J31.That guy has an amazing collection.
I'm sure you saw the J1 that sold recently on Ebay. Horrible condition. They were asking $1825 and accepted a best offer.

Very nice collection indeed. They've also got some old literature too. I always thought they were only Lewis specific but apparently also American brands.

There is another Taiwanese who owns a a small collection of Stargloves and 40s-50s Langlitz. He is also into vintage Wesco boots. He owns a lot of them but I don’t think he owns them all. I do know for sure that the Leathertogs is his.
Yes very rare old catalogs with some very interesting information. He cites a suede D Lewis model 700 from the early 30’s as being the worlds first D-pocket.
Him and at least one or two other people put this exhibition together and they run the brand “Thurs” which did the Beck 333 collab with Himel.
Trojans are my jam, I really wanted to check out the one Junk Vintage had in Osaka, but they were closed when I went. I will try look at it next year!View attachment 540704 View attachment 540705 View attachment 540706 View attachment 540707 View attachment 540708

Patters are king. But it all boils down to you body type. Cals are hard to beat because of their overall quality and price. Trojans were very safe jacket and were built with outstanding hides. They care about safety unlike most maker of the time.Trojans are my jam, I really wanted to check out the one Junk Vintage had in Osaka, but they were closed when I went. How does Trojan generally fare compared to other makers of the time? They seem way more scarce and priced much higher accordingly., their designs are the best
Great price it seems. If this fits you its a no brainer. The zippers alone are worth it IMONice jacket, windward? Crown zip
