I'm also speculating here, but I'm guessing police jackets are just not going to be as desirable as more "rebellious" civilian models.

Let's be honest, do people want to be Marlon Brando or do they want to be the law? That may have nothing to do with it, but I've always thought about it with the police jackets.

Simmons Bilt recently posted a lot of new Ready To Order/Wear jackets on their Outlet page, including the size 36 "Pacific" that I ordered and had to return because they messed up the measurements badly (and sent out without QC):

The measurements they posted differ quite a lot from what we actually measured ourselves with my UK proxy.
Here are the measurements we got:

Chest/pit-to-pit
48,25-49.5cm (19-19.5")

Waist/navel
47.5-48.25cm (18.75-19")

Bottom hem
47.5-48.25cm (18.75-19")

Back length
59cm (23.5")

Shoulders:
40.5cm (16")

Sleeve length:
62.2cm (24.5")

I would paid (and got full refund) around ~650gpb for it, now it's available for 500gbp.
Also interesting that the "Rancho/Ranchero" chrome tanned horsehide leather is named "Prairie" here.
It's from the same tannery that does their Blattwerk leather.

Don't know if this is roughout or suede but I don't think I have ever seen a Bates in either style hide. Not really ideal for ride gear I would think. But a cool jacket nonetheless......
