I think I may want to find a LW suburban, probably in size 42, in 4 or 4,5oz HH.
The one for sale in Japan looks very thin, anyone could give some advice ?
It has already been posted here, of course

Stu wrote that a lot of preowned LW jackets for sale out of Japan are not up to his current standards (thinner hides, etc). Having said that, a suede LW trucker made for the Japanese market was pretty great.

I’d wait for the hide you want. I haven’t been impressed with the very thin hides LW used in some of their gear. You probably will be disappointed.

In fact, I cringe when someone who never has handled the traditional LW hides bases their opinion of LW HH on this stuff.

I think that too. The LW trojan for sale in my country is way too big, but with a thicker hide, even if it's hard to find some grain. I will just wait until I find something heavy, and grainy, in my size.

Sears Roebuck & Co Boyville youth jacket. Very small, very unique and very fragile looking.

Not much was said about this Cal, is it a brown jacket that was dyed black ? It's like an excess of teacore effect.

I have a similar Cal, and while I can't say for certain since I'm not the original owner, I believe mine started as a very dark brown. If I roll back the collar the underside is definitely brown, as well as the interior. Neither of these areas should have seen as much wear and tear and effects of the sun.

Waiting for the weather to cooperate so I can give mine a light coat of Vaseline. I know we all have the products we swear by but I figure if it's good enough for JC who am I to be doubting Thomas.

I like these brown/black jackets a lot. It reminds me of some used military brown A2 that were painted black during war, and given again to soldiers. Some parts of these jackets were not painted black (collar, inside, etc...). Really nice after some wear.
