Thought some of you might enjoy seeing the work of a true leather craftsmen.

He just made this coat for some bison ranchers I know. The hide was tanned at Moyle Mink & Tanning in Idaho, which does some incredible work.

@Carlos840 @Marc mndt very cool. I’m seriously thinking about it. The hide looks great. Not a jacket you see everyday. Price is right for an initial foray into these type of jackets. Are the snaps or some sort of button missing on the epaulettes? Hard for me to see in the pics. They look sewn on and secure though.

German jackets from this era typically had leather buttons on the epaulets (like the one on the chest flap). They're easy to replace.
