Some sort of police jacket? I don't recognize the design. $40 + shipping.

I was about to say "this looks exactly like a Thedi". Then I saw it actually is a Thedi hehe. Too bad it has all those creases (like almost all of MV jackets). Plus the body length has been altered, by a bungler. Worthless jacket imo.

It’s different enough and for the infrequency that it would be worn, I don’t think those faults would matter too much to me but I get your point. Now that I know these exist, I’ll be on the lookout for one in my size.

How would you go about washing this
washing is the easy part. The drying is where the "changes" happen.

I would dunk in a bucket with some water and dawn or liquid dish washer soap. Slosh around a couple minutes. Then rinse thoroughly.

Depending on how the jacket fits you, then either air dry or put in the dryer. The dryer obviously will cause some shrinkage and depending on condition of the liner, zippers, etc. could cause damage. So I recommend doing in 5 minute bursts. Once jacket is completely dry, apply conditioner.

I've seen this happen with a couple jackets where after washing them, they fit slightly bigger. It's basically the jacket rehydrating. So again, depending on how the jacket fits, you might have to purposefully shrink it back. But assuming you like the fit, you can air dry.

I'd suggest air drying to about 75% dry, try on. If it fits ok, keep air drying. If the jacket grew some, throw in the dryer for 5 minute bursts until you get it to where you want (only if liner and zippers, overall leather condition can handle it).

I would not use a dryer. The jacket will dry out in a few days when placed flat on some towels. I like to put dry towels inside the jacket as well to absorb moisture. Easy.

@Monitor, quick! Second jacket is in Bolzano.

Eeh, I'm just not that big of a fan of Langlitz. Looks good on photos but never fits (me) well.

If you absolutely have to wash it, I'd go with washing machine and then air dry it, room temperature, while occasionally throwing on some kinda conditioner that the jacket will soak in easily.

Having said that, the RIB jacket is nice but there are so many of these or similar Euro racing jackets on Vinted and for like 20 Euros it's not even funny anymore.
