$800 down from $1150 new, with a crappy side panel alteration seems pretty optimistic...

Can't blame him for trying. Most of the listings on Grailed look overpriced to me. But I guess there are people out there who are willing to pay. I recently sold an unworn Scott jacket for $530 to someone who lives in the US (I live in Europe). You can buy the jacket brandnew from Scott for $740. Why would you take the risk of buying overseas, not getting the warranty you would get when you would have bought in store, for only $200 discount from the MRSP. Anyways, I'm not complaining :p
The problem with Grailed is that unlike ebay the listed price isn’t the flat bottom. No one expects to get the price they post. Grailed accepts offers. I generally start offers at 2/3 asking price. I’ve received offers as low as 1/3.

Are the zippers made of gold?

Is gold made of gold? :D At least this jacket actually is rare, unlike a mass produced Buco that sells for $2K.

oh i cant wait for the leather jacket hype to be over again ten years from now; ill be picking up all these jackets for peanuts laughing at the faces of these idiots thinking they could sell stupid jackets for the price of family cars

It's been going strong for the past 70 years. More people are becoming aware, younger folk even switching from ToJ to Himel, Aero, etc. Leather jackets won't ever lose their value in the collectors market and we'll still be struggling to get a good jacket for a good deal in 10 years from now - not to mention entire new countries are now catching up with the hobby. China has got the money and isn't happy with their knock-offs anymore. My father was always telling me how Lewis Leathers makes the best jackets in the world while I had no clue what's he on about and who the hell cares. 20 years later... I'm here. Just sayin', not sure we'll ever see the end of this...

Anyone interested in a TFL original? :D This is an outstanding jacket. Easily one of my all times favorite here.

It’s an awesome jacket, was looking out for an M since last couple of years . Finally was able to get one last week. Although not sure about the price on this one, looks to be optimistic at best, bit crazy otherwise

Agreed. It's crazy, what this seller is asking for this jacket, there's no doubt about that. There's definitely a value to a certain collectors piece but as long as there are makers who can do the exact same jacket for a $3800 less, spending or asking for such an amount of money gets really hard to justify.

I just posted it because it is a very pretty jacket.

Can you tell those measurements in the pictures? Maybe it’s just my crappy phone but I can’t make them out at all and curious on the size.
