Anyone here confident that road rash can be covered/blended?

Yes you can. I was knocked off my 2006 35th Anniversary Dyna back in 2012 by a 75 year old Catholic priest
( He must have guessed I was "lapsed" !) 100% "failure to yield" on his part ( Automatic licence driving a manual !!)
Anyhow I am skittled down the bitumen on my back wearing my west Australian made "Eastman Luftwaffe" copy.
Black Goat the hide. Low speed bingle but the jacket was well scuffed nonetheless.
Bike was a cosmetic mess , he somersaulted it onto the median strip ! motorcycle repaired by me , took 3 months.
Jacket came up 99.9% using a kids shoe treatment . KIWI KUDS SCUFF STUFF. From the supermarket.
I treated the whole jacket of course , not just the scuffed area.
This photo was taken of that jacket today.

Old Taubers...... You never know where a vintage jacket will be found in the world. So many cool vintage American ones pop up in Japan for example. But you still have these pockets in and around the area where some of these jackets were made where there still seem to be relative "concentrations" of them to be found. You seem to find more Schotts and Passaics in New York and New Jersey, more Langlitz in Portland, and seemingly, more Taubers in and around San Francisco/Bay Area, one of the original production hot spots. I wonder how many old Taubers, Block Bilt, etc.---maybe even some older Johnson Leathers jackets are still to be found in the area....... sometimes I wish I could just go hunting for jackets in vintage and thrift shops like in the olden days.......:rolleyes::rolleyes: But I digress.....

This is a fine older Tauber. Not cheap. Interesting assortment of Zipper pulls (original or replacements?) Having handled a few Taubers that were too small for me (and I THINK I still have an untagged one that actually FITS!) I think they are some of the best Old Vintage jackets I have seen. Part of it may be the lack of knowledge and history of the company that creates a sort of mystique for me. Being from California, I am a little partial to the Cali made jackets but even aside from that the Taubers seem to be in the "special" category.

The California makers made many of the most interesting jackets. I Love the Taubers stuff. This Taubers half-belt is in my deep closet. Hope the pictures show.

Fieldmaster HH 40-- Ok, no BIN --just a miniscule starting bid---but these things fly under most people's radar or perhaps are not everyone's taste so I think someone will get this at a good price. These are cool jackets and this one has the knits in good condition which is really the only place these jackets go bad.

I have owned several of this style jacket with Fieldmaster, Oakbrook, labels. Most were in Steerhide. I am convinced these were Made by Appalachian Tanned and Tailored. The same jacket appears with their label. Late 50s early 60s. This is one I owned
