Sidenote: if anyone spots a perfecto in 42 please post it! Thanks
Hey, I appreciate the detailed response Clay! You're right, I'm looking for a schott cross zip, either a 113/118/618 or any similar model. I'm 50-50 on the belt. I'd prefer a cloth liner, but I could settle for a quilted liner too. I began my search in the past month, a user here (Hh121) sold me a great 641 Cafe in steerhide, and now I want a cross zip. I haven't seen a nice example at a decent price in the last week or so, but I have patience. Especially since it's starting to get warm. But personally, I'm using this quarantine to wear my jacket at work all day and break it in before I can wear it outside"Perfecto" is a label used by Schott on a fairly wide range of jackets. You really should try to specify a model # or otherwise provide more an idea of what you are looking for and I'm sure you will find your search more fruitful. Most likely, you are looking for a Schott Cross Zip which most people associate with the "Perfecto" label. However, they also have used that label in Cafe Racers for example (among other non cross zip jackets).
If you need more brand specific info on Schott, I know members here can help. Also though, you can kick on over to the Schott Forum and try to better ID the specific Schott models you are seeking (they have their own Schott classified section as well). Gale Hawkins used to be their resident Guru and she knew a lot about their products. She was a font of knowledge and history and very accessible and willing to share and help out with questions. Sadly, she passed away recently. But you can still find very specific Schott model identification threads on the Schott Forum. In short, Schott model numbers, IF the model tag is present, can be found in one of the pockets of the jacket. Later models are much easier to ID but earlier ones don't have the tag or it can be hard to read.
The models are always numbered with Schott in a 3 number pattern--like a 141, or a 641 (you may know this already if you have a 641), or a 618 etc. but the number can be buried in a larger sequence of numbers on the tag. You can also determine year of production in the tags from the last 15 years or so (Not sure when they started with these tags--but older jackets don't generally have them). So if you like a particular Perfecto, then you will need its model number (and/or photos of the jacket you like) because Perfecto has become a trade name Schott uses without any real rhyme or reason. If you need more assistance, just ask!!! Plenty of helpers lurking here in the Lounge

If any user here wants to part with a 42 Perfecto(roughly 22"+- p2P and 19"+ shoulders) let me know I guess. This hobby is addictive
No problem man. Especially these days, I think a lot of us have more time on our hands to linger here in the Lounge and this is a helpful place. We will all EAGERLY ENABLE your new addiction brother!!!!!!!! We're all hooked here ourselves!!!!
What you are looking for, I tend to see fairly regularly on ebay. You can also check the classifieds here in the Fedora Lounge and also on the Schott Forum Classifieds. But what I would do if I were you, just to better get the word out in the Lounge here, is voice your wishes in the Classifieds section (link button at the top right of this page). Just do a WTB ("Want To Buy") post stating what you are looking for with your preferred size and measurements. Might be a more direct way to get the word out and get some responses. This thread will limit who hears what your looking for. It doesn't hurt to mention it here---but it would likely be more effective in the FL Classifieds.
You'd think, but it's been real dry the past couple of weeks. The first 3 weeks I saw a ton, but I wanted a cafe racer. Now when I have the itch and want a double rider, everything is overpriced, and with tears, loose seams, mold, or broken zippers. I'll stop derailing this thread now. Thanks guys, really an awesome communityI'll just add, Grailed is a great place to find these coats as well. There's no shortage of used Schott crosszips for sale, that's for sure.

I've been eyeing this one, and one like it for a while. Schott themselves say the leather is not quite as good as their regular line. If the lounge disagrees, I'll probably think about it, otherwise if it's an inferior grade of leather, I'll always be aware of it so long as I own it
