This looks like another RoughWear.......... you don't see these this come up too close together like the one previously posted and this one. The cuffs, the lining, the script font, the colors of the label, and hide quality are all very RoughWear-esque. The Horsehide Label is different though.......... This one was made for JC Penny .... I could be wrong but it seems like a RoughWear,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, @handymike @tmitchell59 @RiteStuffBryan

I saw this earlier today. Pricey but not too pricey if you consider the cost per square foot of Awesome OLD SCHOOL quality Horsehide that was paid here. I was never going to be in on this jacket but I was curious to what it would bring. @tmitchell59 --- did you jump in on this one?????? Another Lounger perhaps?????

No not me. You have to pay a premium for the single breasted this was nice with the original labels. I've got a nice double breasted roughware Hercules.

I don't know if it's a Roughwear. A lot of companies were making these coats.

There are A couple more on eBay, just got an offer. Double breasted

Lovely, I really like these Ike jackets, and also all the similar variants around the world, I have an Australian one which is based more closely on the British version, and unlined. These US Ike jackets are probably the best though, I like the liner and side cinch adjusters.

Swing and a miss. I am having the worst luck with eBay lately... I bought this and come to find that it's been heavily modified from a standard LW 46. This thing has a 22" back length and an 18" waist... I should have known the lack of side adjusters was a warning.
Sucks. At least the seller accepts returns, hopefully you''ll have no problem convincing him to pay for shipping the jacket back.

Damn, send that thing back. Not as described, right? You shouldn’t have to pay return shipping.

I did see the missing side adjusters in the photos but that isn’t unheard of.

Yeah hopefully I won't get a hassle from the guy. I'm not sure if he was aware or not. But this is a good reminder - Don't be a dummy like me, and ASK FOR MEASUREMENTS. You never know when someone has had a jacket altered and either doesn't know about it or decides not to disclose it.

Sorry you had to learn it this way but pretty much, sadly we ALL did.

Now you can tell a novice seller from someone who knows----those who know post measurements if there is no size tag and smart sellers post them even if there is a tag.

Luckily as others have mentioned, you have recourse that will make this a harmless lesson most likely.

Asking for measurements is the best way to ensure you are getting what you think you are getting. To take it further, I advise doing what a lot of us here do---give specific detailed instructions on HOW you want the measurements done so that little is left to the seller's interpretation of how to come by a certain measurement. It removes a lotta doubt and reduces your catch and release rate dramatically. Best of luck---though I don't think you'll need it.
