It is a Buco, but it's Buco M.K.S., which is widely considered a poor quality diffusion product that was made when Buco allowed their label to be outsourced. I've never handled them, but I know some here have stated it's basically an entirely different brand than J. Buco.

You can tell by the different label.

Killer Vintage HB Size 40. Untagged/Unlabeled and has a missing stitch in a sleeve but really cool jacket with awesome Talon and Buckle details.

That jacket needs to be in the "show your graining" thread. Spectacular jacket! Has the fancied up front popular in the late 30s. Check out the lining. This was a high end jacket of the Day. I seem to identify California Sportswear as maker, but I don't see this as their work. I have similar CSC jackets from this time with fancy front work.

I may ask for some measurement details on the chest.

Its a goodie for sure. First I thought it might be Canadian. Then I saw the Talon and the zipper construction (the sides the male and female are on) and knew it must be American. Its got that 30s-40s Talon and the details on the half belt buckles also point to that era. That sleeve seam issue is relatively minor for a jacket of this age and caliber. And the graining and developed patina are excellent. Too small for me or I woulda been on it like STINK ON A MONKEY.

CONFESSION: I have never actually sniffed a monkey. I am lazily ASSUMING they have a stink. Is it a crude stereotype that paints monkey's in a bad light? Probably. But in zoos, they throw their feces at people. OKAY.....THIS is also a generalization. Not ALL monkeys do this..... Alls I'm sayin' is I would have bought the jacket if it fit me. Stinky monkeys aside.:p

My friends at the Simian Lounge asked me to remind the haters on TFL that Australeatherpithecus was sporting leather jackets long before Homo sapiens.
