Dude I did the same thing I got off work an then was getting ready for storm and next thing I know it's over, I'm glad its going to a good home though and we'll get to see more of it.

79 watches and the star glove is coming to Redwood City CA to hang next to its cross zip cousin $510 plus sales tax and shipping I feel like I scored. Review and fit pictures are coming.
I offered $500 to Dinnermen the day the jacket was listed, he declined like I knew he would and I respect him for letting the auction run.

So pumped to see more detailed pictures of this one. Quite the deal all things considered. Congrats!

Nice but it's not horsehide. Might even be Pakistan / India made.

Yes. I enjoy looking at it, repeatedly. Great photos of many great jackets. I found it on eBay for $35 or so. Sometimes the asking price is a bit much. But I would have paid a bit more for it.

Great book, smaller photos than the Rin Tanaka books, and no real information, but a lot of cool jackets in there.
It's a bit like a book version of the Bill Kelso archives.

I have both and like both, i agree with blackadder that "A Century of Leather Design" is probably the best one of the two.

Man, I do not. At first glance, simply a quick gut feeling, is Just Leather. Some of their older stuff. In any case, it looks nice.

Unique vintage cross zip with a reverse oreo color scheme. Rough shape but a unique piece. Now I got that Michael Jackson & Paul McCartney "Ebony and Ivory" duet in my head for the next few hours

I have both and like both, i agree with blackadder that "A Century of Leather Design" is probably the best one of the two.

Something felt wrong so I went back to check. A Century of Leather Design is actually the part 1 first published in 2000, 2006 being the reprint year. I don't own any of Rin Tanaka's book because I have no space for any more books but I read a few of his books including the Motorcycle jacket series and Freedam series at my fd's shop. Pretty good reading and excellent vintage fashion reference book but take up too much space.
