I don't own the field behind the house. My back line pretty much follows the tree line in the photo. It's nice to have a bit of "elbow room".

Holy Cow, Dixon... I know where that is!

Actually, I had to hunt for a couple of minutes, but with family in Lantana, it wasn't hard to find it. The house on the corner of your old street doesn't have the round pool anymore.

Ours is there, it must be about 2 years old as my nieghbours back garden (yard) is pre upgrade.

Terraserver's images may be older (17 years old in my case) but they're the only one who shows my home in any detail at all. Google Maps and all the others have way less detailed maps for my area. My home appears only as a tiny glob. But I suppose that helps with the home privacy issue.

We looked up some friends' house on GoogleEarth when it first came out. Sent a pic, told them we were watching their yard from a satellite in space. They bought it hook, line and sinker. I jokingly asked, "Was that you naked on the lounge by the pool," and Dan went berserk. "Oh my God! They really could see us!" We, of course, couldn't see anything. I was making it up, but that convinced them to stay inside or in swim suits till we let them in on the joke.

Mine isn't there yet, because it's a fairly new house. I'm actually glad though, because I'd be embarrassed. So many of you have these homes in the middle of wide open spaces. I'm jealous! I, alas, live in a shoebox, tightly surrounded by other shoeboxes. No land for me
