I bought this recently and although I can zip it up, I probably can afford to lose a few more pounds. the sleeve length is a bit short for me.

I bought it from the original owner who ordered the custom features that you can see. I've splurge on quite a few jackets and it's been a learning experience for this new leather jacket enthusiast and most needs to go to a new owner, but I will be keeping a few.

Except for trying it on and stretching the imagination that it could fit, I have not worn it outside of the house.

$800 + shipping from California

Gorgeous jacket, but does appear one size small for you in chest and sleeve length. Interesting that the back looks even slightly long for you. I wonder if the person ordering, wanted shorter sleeves?

Yeah, of all my jackets, I was really exciting in getting it in the mail… and even more exciting in seeing it and feeling it in person then disappointment set in when I tried it on.

I have a brother who is smaller than me and two kids growing up fast so someone will enjoy the jacket if there are no takers through FL.

I have to say, I’ve gotten a little more shy now buying jackets without trying them on first. The stated measurements don’t tell the whole story on fit. The pattern/fit makes a big difference. It has been a good learning journey for me though

I find I am definitely a size 38 in the shoulders with shoulders about 17 and pit to pit around 20, but the hem always seems a little tight and the arms a little short. I buy 40 and it’s a little longer than I like and there’s excess material under my arms, but the sleeve length is good.

Is there a brand that has a cut more for my body shape/type?

Hello Friend, hope all is well

I am your size 5.6 around 146lbs, and i am writting as one year ago i was in the same possition where you are Trying to figure out which brand and size would work better for me. I tried many brands ( Real MCcoys, the Flat head, freewheelers, Schott, Rainbow Country, RRL, even lower tier brands like All Saints and some.bespoke with Thedi leathers with one more coming from field leathers ( hehe leather jackets is a deep rabbit hole)

Maybe i can help

I found that toys mccoys, RM bucco , and Rainbow country size 38 fits me as l like trim and short

Freewheelers size fits me slightly loose specially on my waist

The flat head size 36 love how it fits me.but i can zip it up i always use it open , size 38 is similar to freewhelers

Schott Perfecto in lamb skin size S is a greaf slim fit but i found it longer than my preference

RRL too loose for me

After one year triying and learning , i understand why people are reluctant to be conclusive with an advice because patterns are differents in example a J24 very differente to a A2 militar jacket from RM, and so on with the other brands

Even bespoke can be a great reward or a dissapointment

However i would say that base on your pictures and your meassurementa FW size 38 would be the kind of fit you are looking

Maybe you are wondering how i got these jackets , well this channel is a great resource also i follow some ig accounts and sometimes i got lucky

Attached you can see some pictures of me with my jackets i mentioned lines above

By the way that jacket FL you have is beautiful

Cheers

By the way something i forgot to mention is that i keep learning from everybody in this channel and these pictures is a non-exhaustive sample

Now i am into the denim world , sometimes trying to find 1 or 2 leather jackets that have been very difficult to find

Cheers
