I’ve decided to sell my first Field Leathers custom build. The design was something that Greg and I came up with together and I think the end result is pretty stellar. He no longer offers the Shinki Brown Pony hide so these will slowly become rare birds. Lined with a Lochcarron lightweight wool and no inner pockets.

Marked a size 40 but please refer to measurements:

21.5” pit to pit
17.75” shoulders
24” sleeves measured straight
23.25” back length
24.5” front length

Price is $1150 including CONUS shipping. International shipping extra. payment by PP/FF.

surprised at how many people sell their Fields Leather jackets.
Me too. I wonder how much it has to do with the customization process. Perhaps in part because if one buys a custom jacket they are probably quite particular about fit and therefore are more likely to dislike aspects of fit. But I wonder how altering classic patterns plays into it. Much trial and error has gone into perfecting patterns over a relatively long period of time to make them look optimally good on as many body types as possible within a demographic. Then again maybe I'm reading into it too much. I also don't own a custom jacket so I'm definitely not qualified to comment.
