Thorogood 814-4364. Beautiful boot, but very frustrating size wise. Bought online my Brannock size (9); way big. Exchanged for 8.5; ok in length but PAINFUL, narrow and the vamp where the stitching comes together killed. Currently on an 8 wide; comfortable but a bit wide with lots of heel slip. I need to wear thick socks to make them work. I'm pretty bummed over the whole experience. There is no substitute for actually trying on footwear.

I've had a pair of these for about 5 years. I like them and they're holding up well. I had to size down from a 10 to 9.5.

Nice work. Good on the hair dryer. If that's mold, I would have added vinegar to the wash. If you didn't kill it, you might want to watch for it popping up again.

Thanks, I didn't know about that. I suspect there was some as they'd spent three years abandoned in the garden shed, most of the white is cement from when I bricklaying in them though . Time will tell to see how they hold up, the leather was like cardboard before I started so I didn't expect much, but it doesn't bother me really, I just thought I'd have a go as they were just so comfortable.
