Wonderfull explanation :eusa_clap

What ? What are you talking about (ich soll so eine Art "Automtische Schimpfwortentfernung" installiert haben - geile Sache, wußte ich noch gar nichts von - aber das lasseich mir dann wohl patentieren:D. Im Ernst, kannst du mir - bitte auf Deutsch - mal erklären wovon du da redest ?) ?

No no. ;)

Got a pair of Redwing Beckmans today. Right size this time. Actually they are a touch big, but fit great with an insole. I'm gellin' now, but does the sole ever soften up? My goodness they are like wearing plywood boards on my feet.

I know what you mean. My feet were numb from wearing them initially and it made it difficult to persevere, so I think it me a few months to get them to 'comfortable'. I love them now. I was out this evening in them and you feel like you're wearing a uniquely cool pair of boots.

They do soften up. Mine are very comfortable. I have what I consider nicer (and certainly more expensive) boots, but I get more compliments on my RW Beckman's than any other boots I own. I have the black cherry version. Wasn't sure I was going to like that color, but it's pretty versatile.

I agree with both Sloan and GL - I have two pair that are not fully broken in yet but are getting more and more comfortable with each wearing. I've also got the Black Cherries and they are now my favorite boots.

Ran to the cinema in my RWs last night. There is no way I could have done that in them six months ago! :D

Just thought I'd post a pic of my latest purchase...a nice pair of Addison 1000 Mile Wingtip Boots from Wolverine....
Haven't really shopped around for these, but happened upon a pair in my size at the local Nordstrom Rack for only $110.00....I'm assuming this was pretty much a "steal"?

I own a pair of Double H cowboy steel toe work boots. Very comfortable. Made in the USA (Martinsburg Pa.) They cost over $200 but seem to be worth it so far. Never been a fan of square toe cowboy boots, but they're starting to grow on me. I only wear cowboy boots. Regular sneakers kill my feet! It must be something with the heel giving my feet more support. I know I can wear a pair of my Dan Post boots for 12 hours and still feel great. I don't stand nearly that long at my current job, but I'm sure these HH would feel great also. Here's a link with pictures. I didn't buy them from here, but a local dealer.

A new pair of Red Wing iron rangers that I picked up on sale from J. Crew.
The leather on these is brick settler which is much stiffer and smoother finished than the amber harness on the more popular version of these.
