^^Mike , overall I'm pretty happy with them, imo the construction and build is first rate, they are comfortable to wear. They are definitely on a wider last than the original 1K , and that combined with the capped toe gives off a dressier vibe to me. I'm not wearing them today but they are steadily in my rotation.

Will, Corcoran for WWII Impressions. I like the toe so much more on these than the service shoe (which is on the Munson last).

My plan is to get them resoled/reheeled with some Dr Sole's (http://www.drsole2011.com/original.html) goodness. Just debating whether or not to stick true to spec or veer off with a little creative touches. Eg considering half soles and a leather heel/cord cap. Or perhaps half soles and a full cord heel.

I thought about ordering from them but first I was unable to determine what size I should wear then they gave me a crazy shipping quote of USD85. Breton, how is the fitting when compared to your White's Semi-dress?

Blackadder, yeah Juan ships at actual cost to him, including insurance. He quoted me at approx $30 for domestic shipping on a pair (again, the ones I just got are second hand), which I thought was wayy too high.

These fit true to size IMO. I consider myself a 10D and that's how these are sized. In contrast my SDs are a 9.5, as are my Alden Barrie boots. Great boots for the moulah IMO. However I'm now debating whether or not to go with the resole as it'll run me between $200-400 depending on how rebuilt I want them. Figure probably better to just buy new ones (or two pair!). Eg like putting $10,000 rims on a beat up old Ford Escort! Whatcha think??

Here's another shot

200-400 to resole a a pair of boots does sound a bit steep. My friends sometimes send boots to Taipei or Tokyo for resole and it probably would not costs as much. In fact a friend of mine is visiting Tokyo and he just went to Hukurokuju Tokyo yesterday and left his Wesco Boss behind for repair. The Boss will be shipped back to his home here after repair.

Got a pair of Chelsea dark tan lace/ups Blundstone for £15 from a charity shop in new old stock condition. From what I can find out on 't'internet they were made in the Australian factory before production was outsourced to Asia. Pics to follow but a well made steel toed work boot. The id came from a seller on ebay struggling to sell a larger size (12) in the same style. If you are interested I'll post the eBay link in vintage finds

Just picked these up from customs on friday. White's Classic Work Boots in brown Horween Crome Exell leather with a Vibram 430 mini vib sole. This is my first pair of White's and I am seriously impressed with the quality of the workmanship and the weight of the boots. Right now they are still a little stiff, but I guess they will break in nicely.

Lovely boots Cole. I've got a pair of bounty hunters on the way, I had a real good look at these first...very very nice. Congrats.

Here are some pictures of the boots worn. They go well with BDU style cargo pants, but I guess that is because they look a lot like old Vietnam era Army boots.

Not 100% sure what to call these. They're boots, sure enough. But their toes are too round and their heels are too square to be called cowboy boots. And I wear them to work almost every day, including today. They've got flames and no laces.

Breaking in these new Red Wing Pecos boots today. The smaller, pointier toe box is making the break in much more painful than other work boots but they're getting close to being broken in.

Red Wings take a little effort to break in, but the long term comfort is worth it Case. Good looking pair of boots.
