Nowhere near the level of excitement as A-n-A's afternoon, but I took the kids to a street fair in the little town we used to live in.

Across the tracks there is the Irondale Cafe, a.k.a. the Whistle stop. The movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" is about this place. Interesting film, if you've never seen it.

There were trains big and small to be seen. (The little town sits right by the tracks)

There was a stage, with bands. When we were there there were some guys with dreadlocks in tie-dyed shirts playing a cross between Grateful Dead type jam music and hip-hop, with a Christian message. Something for everyone I guess.

There were also vintage firetrucks.

This green one was promoting a local brewery, and they were GIVING AWAY FREE BEER!!

Here's the fedora shot. I actually saw several gents wearing proper fedoras today, along with several of the "wal-mart" variety cheapo trilbies.

A&A Thanks for the "ride!" My eldest daughter graduated from college into a job at an exotic auto "Club" like that, except she had NO idea what she had stumbled into. It took some time for her to appreciate the Lambos, Ferrarri 430's, Aston Martins, Bentleys, the first Audi R8's in the US, etc., etc. You are one lucky guy!!

I've been wanting to post these photos for quite some time but was never sure where, so here they come. This is a hat I've seen for months out in an antique shop outside of town, but never bought it because it's two or more sizes too small. I think it's wool.
But the thing truly intrigues me, and every time I wish it were my size!
