Spent most of last week unplugged in the mountains of northwest Georgia to celebrate another year on this earth.

Thank you, Eric! Thanks for sharing you and your spouses adventure. Very picturesque.
Cheers for your special celebration. Gorgeous backdrop and company. Dynamite!
Best to all, Eric -
Thanks Jack. Didn't hit the battlefields this trip, was there earlier in the summer. Chattanooga is a quick and easy drive from Birmingham, through some beautiful countryside. We go up that way often.Congratulations on your birthday Dale! Hope you went to the battlefields at Missionary Ridge & Lookout Mountain.
Thanks, Bob! It's a good one, and thankfully close enough to enjoy fairly often.Happy birthday Dale! That looks like a great place to be.
Thanks Cuz! It's good to get a break now and thenHAPPY BIRTHDAY CUZ!

A couple of nice cars, the Mustang is really nice. Has the GT exhaust in back.
Beautiful shots even though they probably won't do the place enough justice. Enjoy it, Gary. The Waipoua Forest featuring Tāne Mahuta, Lord of the Forest, and Hokianga Harbour are a couple of my favourite places in the world.
Etsuko’s photo from the car doesn’t do this place justice (how I wish she would learn to focus a camera!). The New Zealand forest is unlike any other I have seen, not better, and certainly not worse, but distinctively New Zealand.

From here we travelled on to Ahipara, where my Stylemaster makes its first appearance (rest assured I was wearing it all day).

I was the only one in our group to climb to the top of the dunes. It was worth the effort as everyone else missed out on some spectacular 360 degree views. I’m afraid my panoramic shots again, don’t do the view justice. View attachment 474193 View attachment 474195
It got quite blustery up there. I had to hold on to my Stylemaster. View attachment 474194

It doesn’t get any more New Zealand than a cabbage tree.

Or a New Zealand Tea Tree, known worldwide by its Māori name, Manuka.
