Mystery brand straw hat soaked up the sweat and kept the sun from burning my head.

Wearing the beater OR as I listen to the audio tour in the Rembrandt house in Amsterdam. Lovely to stand in the room where all those famous paintings came to life.

Good for you, David. Enjoy Amsterdam! Even though I live no more than twenty minutes away, I've never visited the Rembrandt house. I really should.

Haha—and I’ve never been to the Statue of Liberty. We are biking now along the coast. In Leiden tonight then on to The Hague tomorrow. Very excited for the Kunstmuseum. Saw a couple of nice fedoras —a Knox and a Penney’s Marathon in a vintage shop here. They were a size too large at 7 1/4 but I was sorely tempted! Hope you are enjoying this wonderful summer weather.

Cheers,

D

Wearing, and sweating through, my pure beaver OR whilst doing the very dirtiest of jobs. This one would honestly be at home on Mike Rowes dirty jobs, cleaning out leachate sludge. Had to wear non breathable tyvek suits and wore a respirator for a while, both of which did not help with the perspiration.

Still hopeful it won’t be bad

It was pretty awful

Plenty of art to see in The Hague. Nice! Rare to find any American made hats in vintage stores in Amsterdam. I haven't had any luck at all recently. Do you remember which store it was?

Labor day weekend road trip. Drive up to Tullahoma TN and saw a couple nice waterfalls. First pic is Rutledge Falls. Second two are of Machine Falls in the short springs nature preserve. Took a ride up to the George Dickel distillery while we were in the neighborhood and tried a few samples.
