Fantastic photos of an amazing display, Joao. Absolutely awesome, fascinating! Thank you!!
Oh boy!! Can't wait. I'm loving this!!!
Joao, fantastic photos. I love old equipment, and these trains sure do qualify. Thanks for sharing!!!
This could be better. It's like I've been in York (UK) National Railway Museum and was... jaw dropping.
This... we've lost so much and could have much more... this is like a drop on York MRN.
We (my friends and I) do not understand the "politics" of this museum. Them (museum) and the Comboios de Portugal company do not get along. That is why there is not yet one of the MLW (Montreal Locomotive Works) Diesel-Electric CP 1550 series (withdrawn like 4-5 years ago) nor a Alsthom (note the H in the name) electric locomotive CP 2600 series, this one the flagship of Comboios de Portugal for more than 20 years!
That also explains the condition on Nohab CP0100 railcar and CP2501 electric locomotive, the dead Alco CP1501 and Alan CP0304 railcar.

Recently CP (Comboios de Portugal) moved the narrow gauge historic train from Regua (all Douro's narrow gauge railroads are dead) to the Vouga line, the only narrow gauge line still operating.
I do hope they manage to make it run there!

Took a little road trip up to northwest Georgia and visited the late Rev. Howard Finster's Paradise Gardens.

Looks amazing Dale, saw a documentary somewhere sometime about the man, think it had something to do with David Byrne as well. Thanks for sharing

Wow,quite a trip.Thanks for the tour.

This attraction must have been sensory overload! Really interesting, and odd all that the same time.

Dale, looks like a great time! Awesome pics, brother

Thanks for that, Cuz.

Nice pictures, Dale. Thank you for sharing.

That looks awfully familiar. I think I saw it on an episode of American Pickers. :D Out of the ordinary, but beautiful!

Thanks guys! It was a pretty cool place. Very surreal, for sure. Mike, that sounds right. Finster made album covers for Talking Heads and R.E.M. and a few others back in the 80s.
